So my final “nesting urge” was to finally take pictures of Myles’s room, and it was a good thing I did it when I did because I went into labor that night. After he was born half of this stuff was moved into our room, he’s really only been in there recently to play in the mornings. We listen to my old Fischer Price record player, I LOVED that thing as a kid! We read books, play with his little music instruments {most of it’s for me, I mean he’s only 2 months old… come on}

So anyway, Myles’s room has been a work in progress. Almost everything in his room was made by us, friends or collected at garage sales. I’m pretty sure 90% of his belongings are used, haha. The theme we were going for was “70′s nautical”, haha. Our favorite movie is Life Aquatic so we wanted it to be somewhat like that. Myles’s middle name was almost Zissou… seriously.

We spend months collecting vintage children’s books {most with a nautical theme}, pieces of furniture, random objects, got some cool art, made some cool art… and this is what we came up with!

Grayson made this book shelf a couple years ago! And my old record player they now sell at Target, whhattt?! Totally smart marketing! Bring back all the toys we used to play with!

Our friend Nicole {Knitcole} made this awesome octopus and Grayson and I made the mobile {costs us $2.50 to make!!} Why spend $50 on a hardly cute new one?? And Myles loves that thing, stares and stares at it!

We collected those books {in Portland I think} and had his name made from an etsy shop. I made that pillow, Knitcole made the narwhal and my friend Sara made him that blanket! And I got this chair for $20 at a garage sale too!

Grayson and I made this…. :]

I made those curtains {they’re reversible too!} and our friend Roya made that whale!

we have a visitor. Later we added red knobs to this dresser, it was Grayson’s when he was little {and his siblings all used it too}. We just repainted it!

some friends made this whale clock, I LOVE IT!!

Sara had all this stuff at my baby shower and sent it up after!

He is the happiest baby everrrrr!! I’ve never seen a baby who gets so happy over having his diaper changed! Roya made that “Myles” sign too!

Found that ugly doll at a garage sale for 50 cents! They’re $20 new! OH! And we got this changing table for free at a garage sale, it was black and totally broken. We took it home and with a little wood glue and 4 cans of white spray paint it’s good as new!

Professor Bun Bun… I had this for him

Ta daaaaaa! {Oh and April made that quilt over his crib, impressive because she’s never sewed before!!} And we got that little red rocking chair for $2 at a garage sale!

I hope that satisfies all the requests we got to see his room!! Hope it lived up to the expectations!
